Upland Meadows Mia at Hup!
Mia has been an exceptional hunting companion and has a remarkable temperament. Mia has a strong pedigree with a Sire who was a National Champion and a Dam who finished 4th in both a US and Canadian National Championship. In the field she is very flashy, a strong bird finder, natural retriever with a great pickup and delivery.
As strong as she was in the field, her most positive attribute may be her temperament. She is a dream to live with. She is extremely calm, quiet and clean, while never being aggressive or domineering to other dogs or people. She is the only spaniel to gain the approval of my wife to sleep in our bed.
Mia was not only a great dog, she tended to produce very strong pups, including many field trial competitors with exceptional temperaments. She is now retired from training, hunting and breeding and lives with the “in-laws” happily curled up on their couch.
Here is a unsolicited quote I recently received from a gentleman who purchased a pup from Mia’s last breeding.
“Regarding the Springer puppy that I purchased from you almost two years ago…she’s the best hunter, best family dog and best partner I’ve ever know in a dog. Good job on that breeding…she’s perfect in the house…travels in our car to Kansas and back without a single whine of a complaint. I’ve owned five Springers in my life…this girl (Abby) is the best! – Dana
