Abby is our little “pocket rocket!” She is a small girl, weighing in at 27-28lbs but is very fast with lots of go, and plenty of “wiggle.” She is a strong bird finder and great on moving birds. She takes to training well and is a solid retriever.
She has a high “prey drive” but is also quite biddable. She is enjoyable to spend time with whether in the field or home. She is slightly independent but is also very personable; not soft but responsive and cooperative. Although she is a smaller female, she has thrown pups larger than her. Her pups are likely to best fit into homes that are going to invest time and/or resources into obedience and gundog training to help direct their drive and energy.
