Our field bred springer spaniels are from some of the top bloodlines in North America and Great Britian. We hunt our dogs as much as possible, chasing Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock in Northern Minnesota as well as Pheasants on farmland and prairies throughout the region. Unfortunately we spend more time than we would like chasing pheasants on public land in Minnesota. These pheasants get alot of pressure, most are pushed to private land, only the most cunning typically survive past the first couple of weeks on public land. Bagging rosters on public land requires a good dog; a dog with a good work ethic and a better nose. I want a spaniel that produces birds, even in tough conditions, a strong natural retriever who I don’t have to constantly use my whistle to keep in range. I hunt as much to watch the dogs as to shoot birds. You should enjoy hunting over a good spaniel or just spending time with him.
My goal is to produce field bred springer spaniels that are a joy to hunt over one weekend and can compete in field trials with the next weekend.
